Back in the saddle

Sometimes you get disappointed even though you knew that it wouldn’t happen. You know, when you want something really bad, and you give it a go and try for it. Like when you buy a lottery ticket and you know you probably wont win but you can´t help hoping? Something like that happened to me today. People (and I, myself) tell me to just keep on fighting, keep on working hard and get back in the saddle. But just for now, only for a few minutes I think I´m gonna sit here and feel sorry for myself. To comfort me, I will look at this video. I think we did a good job with this one:) I hope you like it to!

Leaving the city lights

When a started this blog, I had the ambition to write everyday, but it turned out that sometimes real life gets in the way. Anyway, I have been working in our studio in the center of Gothenburg.  This week it was mostly office work. Such as trying to get gigs and finding ways to earn more money and still work with the thing I love. But I also had a few students who love to sing and wants to develop their voices and they want ME to help them- that’s quite amazing.

This is from our studio

And after this week, I will hopefully get my first hole night of sleep for over a year, and this I will do in a house near the sea, were you can see the moon and stars clear at night and the birds sing for you every minute of the day.

Good night world, wherever you are

Buckets of rain

Rain and running is a perfect match, I think. So today, I ran in the forest and got home all soaking wet. But it was great, made it easier to breath, to sing and to think. Thinking about songs of rain, Buckets of rain by Bob Dylan is probably my favorite but I couldn’t find that one with him on YouTube (lot´s of covers, but no one as good as Bob Dylan). This is a really good one to, though and it comes with a nice video:)

clothing swap, fairy tales and music

It was difficult to choose what to do today, because you see in Gothenburg everything happens at the same time. Anyhow we chose to go to a small festival near home. Brought some clothes and swapped them for some new. Listened to some good music. Went to a fairy tale room. After this hard work, we needed a break, so we just lay in the grass, looking at the sky, waiting for probably the best band in Gothenburg to begin.

Matti Ollikainens words and piano playing is out of this world. If you haven´t heard them, you should take a listen!

Well hello

Starting up this blog after a long time of thinking about what to write about. I came to the conclusion that the best things to write about are of course the things I know. Such as music, voices, my hometown, the life I live, the things I do, the things I don´t do, but longing to do.
So today, I´m thinking about the gig I had the other night, with the guitar player Oscar. It went quite well. I like playing in small line-ups, but I missed the others in the band. It was at a party, so we played in a sort of living room. A stage is nice, but this was good to, and fun, with people sitting in a sofa, listening to my music, and some were standing up and they were smiling and they bought my album- it was a nice crowd. I´m also thinking about leaving this town for some place new. Maybe I´ll go to Paris or NY, or maybe back to Brazil. Or maybe to the coast or maybe I´ll just ride my bike to the sea and go for a swim, which often does the trick. Well, for now I´ll just look at this nice pic of the flowers and a heart that someone drew at a party we had a few weeks ago. I hope it makes you happy to.
